Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET 2024)

1. To be a teacher for Primary Grade:

   • You need to have completed Class 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks
     • AND be in the final year (or already completed) of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

2. Another option for elementary grades:

   • You need to have completed Class 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks
     • AND be in the final year (or already completed) a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed. or B.T.C.).

OR (This replaces the section about minimum 45% marks)

3. Another option for elementary grades:

   • You need a Bachelor's degree (or something similar)
     • AND be in the final year (or already completed) a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed. or B.T.C.). However, there might be specific regulations set by NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education). You'll need to check the relevant notification for details.

4. To be a special education teacher:

   • You need to have completed Class 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks
     • AND be in the final year (or already completed) a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

1. To be a teacher for grades 6 to 8 (Junior Level):

   • You need a Bachelor's degree (or something similar) and you must be in the final year (or already completed) a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed. or B.T.C.).

2. Also for grades 6 to 8 (Junior Level):

   • You can qualify if you have a Bachelor's degree (or something similar) with at least 50% marks and you are in the final year (or already completed) a Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed., L.T., or Shiksha Shastri). There's a minimum marks requirement of 45% for this option in some cases, but you'll need to check the specific notification for details.

3. To be a teacher for elementary grades (likely primary):

   • You need to have completed Class 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and be in the final year (or already completed) a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

4. Another option for elementary grades:

   • You can qualify if you have completed Class 12th (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and are in the final year (or already completed) a 4-year B.A./B.Sc. with a specialization in Education (B.A.Ed, B.Sc.Ed).

5. To be a special education teacher:

   • You need a Bachelor's degree (or something similar) with at least 50% marks and be in the final year (or already completed) a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education (B.Ed. Special Education).
