Candidate with at least 50% (45% in case of SC / ST / OBC PWD & other reserved categories) either Bachelor's Degree and / or in Master's Degree in Science / Social Science /  Humanities / Commerce, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% (50% in case of SC / ST / OBC PWD & other reserved categories) marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for consideration in admission to B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. course. For admission in M.Ed. / M.P.Ed, the minimum qualification shall be B.Ed. / B.P.Ed.

The Candidate shall have to choose only one subject (within a subject category) which she / he must have studied in the qualifying degree, i.e., Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree for at least 200 marks and obtained at least 50% in this subject. The subject will henceforth be referred to as the teaching subject in the B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. course.

There is no restriction in the passing year to apply for a B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. course.

Students in the final year of the Bachelor / Master programme shall also be eligible to apply for B.Ed admission; however, their candidature shall be subject to the submission of the final result at the time of admission and meeting the marks percentage criteria mentioned in the notification.
