  • Candidates must have a graduate degree from a recognized university.

  • In addition, they must have a Diploma in Sports Coaching from a recognized institute, such as the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (Sports Authority of India) or the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior.

  • Along with the academic qualifications, candidates are required to have certain sports achievements. These include:

    • Representing India in international competitions (Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games).

    • Representing their state at the national level.

    • Participating at least twice in All India Inter-University, Junior Championship, or National Youth Championship.

    • Participating at least three times in Inter-Services, All India Police, or Inter-Railway Championships
