1. A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualification included in part II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/ MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/ subject. And/

OR

Three years of teaching and / or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality for the candidate possessing 3 years recognized D.M./M.Ch. degree in the respective discipline / subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
